Welcome Catrin!

Catrin Rathbone - Graduate Air Quality Consultant

We are delighted to welcome Catrin Rathbone as a Graduate Air Quality Consultant in the Manchester team. Catrin graduated with a first-class BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Birmingham in 2022. Her dissertation focused on investigating factors affecting ammonia emissions from synthetic fertiliser usage in the UK and Ireland. Following this, Catrin decided to pursue her interest in air pollution further, undertaking an MSc in Air Pollution Management and Control, also at the University of Birmingham. Her thesis explored a new source apportionment technique using low-costs sensors to explore contributing sources to indoor particulate matter across homes in an urban residential area. She gained further experience working to evaluate air quality impacts of agricultural mitigation methods at the Environment Agency as an intern. After completing her studies, Catrin decided to pursue a career as an air quality consultant.

“I joined the Redmore team in March 2024 as a Graduate Air Quality Consultant. Everyone in the team has been so supportive and friendly, welcoming me and helping me to settle in. From the get-go I have been given projects to work on, giving me responsibility, and the opportunity to learn so much from each of them already. I’m excited to continue improving my skills and knowledge, and further developing my career here at Redmore.”
