Redmore Environmental backs Manchester Youth Zone

At Redmore Environmental, we are incredibly proud to have chosen Manchester Youth Zone as our charity partner for 2025. Their unwavering commitment to creating equal opportunities through safe spaces, nutritious meals, arts, sports, STEM learning and social work support is something we deeply admire. More than 3,700 young people aged 8 to 19, and up to 25 with additional needs, thrive in their vibrant and inclusive community hub in Harpurhey. Their support also extends into the wider neighbourhood through families and outreach.

This September we are putting our values into action. Our team will be taking part in Run Media City, a 5 km and 10 km looped running event at Media City UK in Salford, to raise funds through JustGiving for Manchester Youth Zone. We’ve got three teams ready to hit the ground running, with Jethro Redmore, Emily Pears-Ryding, Callum Cecil, Jonathan Franks, Alec Barnett, Cody Taylor, Natasha Jones and Ceri Haines all taking part. Every kilometre counts, and we can’t wait to cheer each other on for such a great cause!

The event takes place on Thursday 25 September 2025 at 7:00 pm, starting from the heart of Media City and guiding runners through a scenic 2.5 km loop past landmarks such as the Imperial War Museum and the ITV and BBC studios. The course is flat and fast and offers a fantastic chance to chase a personal best with plenty of support from the crowd.

Every participant receives a unique themed medal, chip timed results, free official race photos, post-race goodies and water stations along the route.
