April Update

As we finally get to enjoy some warm weather and make use of the cold setting on the aircon systems, we wanted to drop a quick line to reflect on April, ‘cos it’s been a good one:

• Catrin completed her first full month with the company and is quickly developing most-excellent skills in the ammonia world.
• The last eleven Climate Change Adaptation Plans for flexible generating sites throughout the country were completed. With contributions from Tash, Aaron, Imo, Jonny, Liam and all those who helped review, this was one of the biggest team efforts the company has seen!
• Ceri attended the Odour Emissions Management Conference, providing an opportunity to hear about best practice in preventing odour release and the latest developments in the odour world. Followed up with a fresh Field Odour Survey training session to the team, it’s great to see upskilling in this technical area throughout the company.
• Tash and Aaron put their heads together to plan our Summer Development day at Alton Towers. I’ll be packing the suncream and sick bags 😊
• Alec and Alex headed down to London to attend DMUG, an ‘unapologetically technical’ conference held by the IAQM (and yes, that’s how they refer to it). Looking forward to hearing all about their adventures in the coming weeks.
• Cal has provided fantastic input into the long-term London monitoring project, as shown above, undertaking analysis of six-months worth of complex data to identify trends in preparation for communicating the findings to the wider project team.
• The company has been commissioned to be part of the first development brought forward as part of the new Trafford Park Masterplan. This will include assessment of a new student block with c540 units, a build to rent block totalling c307 units and the University Campus of Football Business. A very exciting project to be involved in, and it’s only around the corner!
