Manchester to Chantilly: Pedalling with Purpose
Now that we’ve crossed the English Channel once, the team felt we should have another go at reaching France in support of the Motor Neuron Disease Association (MNDA), only this time we’ll cycle!
Taking place over two-weeks in June 2027, five members of the Redmore Environmental team will take on the enormous challenge of cycling from our Manchester HQ to Chantilly, France. Not quite satisfied with this tremendous feat, a number of the team will then take on the Chateau de Chantilly with Castle Race Series, completing a Triathlon to finish off the event.
Meet the Team
Headed up by Emily Pears-Ryding who came up with this daring idea, the team will include Alec Barnett, Jethro Redmore, Alex Crayton and Archie Richards. Supported by a number of their Redmore colleagues, they’ll be hoping to cover 420 miles to reach their destination.
We’ve also looked for support from our family and friends to join in on the adventure, or simply come and meet us for a motivational coffee and cake on the way. With a number of additional riders outside of the company coming along, it’s sure to be a fantastic experience (after we’ve passed the Peak District).
Supporting MNDA
Over the next 10 months, our five-strong team will be getting settled into training routines, nutrition plans and building up their physical and mental resilience. It’s going to take a lot of determination, but it’s worth it for the support we’re aiming to give to MNDA.
MNDA is a charity that is close to a number of our team at Redmore Environmental, including those that are taking on this daring mission. We’re stepping out with our cycling cleats sparkling to raise awareness of the neurological condition and fundraise as much as we can for this fantastic group. Which is where you come in.
