Inside Redmore Environmental: Getting to Know Our Directors

Picture1

This year, we wanted to give you the chance to get to know Redmore Environmental, not just the names on the reports, emails and assessments, but the people behind them. Because behind every project, every piece of advice and every technical challenge solved, there’s a team of people making it happen.

Our Director’s Include Jethro Redmore, Ger Parry, Emily Pears-Ryding, Pearl Hutchinson, Claire Meddings and Alex Crayton, they bring over 90 years of combined experience in the environmental sector. That’s a lot of knowledge, a lot of projects and more than a few lessons learned along the way. However, outside of work they’re more than their titles. Some are parents, some are cat mums and dads, some are green fingered and some simply enjoy being outdoors.

So, we asked them a few questions to find out a bit more about what makes them tick!

What’s a principle or value you always bring into your work?

Respect, fairness and accountability came up again and again. “Respect and accountability are central to me and how I work.” For others, fairness is key to building trust within a team. “When decisions are fair and transparent, trust follows,”

Over your years of experience, what lesson has stayed with you the most?

Experience has taught the team that understanding the real issue behind a project is often the most important step.  “Understanding the real underlying need is critical to delivering effective consultancy.”

Communication matters. Rather than hiding behind emails, we  prefer to work directly with clients. And sometimes the advice is refreshingly simple: “There’s always a solution to a problem, so don’t worry.”

How many years have you been in this industry, and what do you enjoy most about it?

Between them, our Directors bring over two decades of experience each in some cases, with time spent across air quality consultancy, odour work and the wider environmental sector.

What keeps them motivated after all those years is the challenge. No two projects are ever quite the same, and each one brings its own technical puzzles to solve.  “Air quality consultancy is rarely straightforward and requires careful thinking, problem-solving and attention to detail.”

Just as important, though, are the people they work with, both within the team and with clients. For all our Directors the most rewarding part of the role is “working with our fantastic team to provide the best possible solutions for our clients.”

What’s one thing about the company that makes you most proud to be part of it?

The answer here was unanimous: the team. Our Directors are proud of the supportive culture that has developed alongside the company’s growth over the past decade.

What sets our company apart in the way we approach clients or projects?

For Redmore Environmental, consultancy is about more than producing reports. It’s about understanding each project and finding practical solutions that work.

One of our Directors explained, “Our advice goes beyond assessment and reporting, it’s focused on delivering meaningful outcomes.” Another added that keeping things clear and straightforward is just as important: “We aim to keep things simple to provide the best solution for our clients.”

Together, decades of experience, a love for solving challenges, and a shared commitment to their team and clients keep the directors and Redmore Environmental, moving forward. It’s not just about reports or regulations; it’s about people, collaboration, and making a real difference, one project at a time.
