Welcome Callum!

Another new starter! We are pleased to announce that Callum Cecil has joined the company as a Graduate Air Quality Consultant. Callum graduated with a first-class BSc in Environmental Science from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2023. During his studies, Callum had the opportunity to study for a year in Bratislava in Slovakia prior to completing his final year. In this time, he was able to reflect on his academic interests and decided that he wished to pursue a career in air quality. Callum returned with a clear goal of gaining relevant experience to prepare him for the air quality sector.

To gain practical experience and prepare himself for the field, he undertook a research internship working alongside his lecturer in the European project REIVON. As part of this project, the implementation of intermediate stops for long-haul flights is being explored as a solution to reduce the number of flights that ‘burn fuel to carry fuel’. Callum played a valuable role in this project as he provided critical supporting research. In addition, Callum gained further experience in air quality through his independent research project which focused on assessing the contribution of road transport to air pollution on Oxford Road in Manchester which utilised DMRB modelling.

“I joined Redmore Environmental as a Graduate Air Quality Consultant in June 2023. Right from the start I was welcomed by a friendly and supportive team which really helped settle me into the company. The initial training was thorough and well-structured which helped grow my confidence and quickly put me on track to begin to independently work through a range of projects. I am really enjoying my time at Redmore and look forward to progressing my career here.”

With Callum’s enthusiasm and desire to develop in the sector being so evident, we know that he will quickly grow into a valued member of the team.
